With technology use increasing in the classroom and virtual learning, students are spending a lot more time staring at Chromebook and Ipad screens. With remote/virtual learning upon us, students may spend hours a day at a screen. This can cause headaches, strained eyes, blinking and sleep deprivation. Students are also spending more time on phones/video games with stay at home orders extending in our town. These glasses would help prevent eye strain and decrease the impact that blue light from screens has on a students overall development, sleep and behavior. If a student is learning from home, these glasses would be provided to them. If a student is learning in the classroom, these glasses would be used during Chromebook instruction or during earned play time on Ipads ( used as incentives). The hope is to reduce headaches, fatigue and eye strain which could reduce negative behaviors in the classroom. Each student would have their own special pair!
