Incorporating these books into my classroom library will help teach my students about positive mindset and instill acceptance of others' differences. I use a lot of Growth Mindset to help build a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. Students learn best when they feel safe sharing their ideas, can accept and learn from their failures, and can be proud and supportive of each others' success. No matter a student's academic level, they all have something to contribute and every student can learn something from each and everyone of their classmates. Students are more invested when they can relate to and see themselves in what they are learning about and these books help me achieve that.
