Students CAN learn digitally with proper guidance and technology supplies. Our HS campus has began the transition to 1:1 for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. Our students will be transitioned into blended learning on-site and at home. Computer mice will support student digital instruction by providing a tool to ease accessibility to their work and displaying their learning. Students can use their mouse for ALL their classes and they will be allowed to keep their mouse. Since this is the first year of 1:1 in our district, students and parents may not be ready to fully dive into their technology world. Having their own mouse will support my students as they interact with various educational websites, tools, and apps. Since we will not have touch screen capability, students will be needing to draw on their screens using the touch pad. This is not an easy feat! The computer mouse will ease the digital writing aspect of blended learning so that students are able to focus on meaningful content. This project will support 150 students enrolled in 7 high school courses for the next 3 - 4 years! Please support my students in this new educational world. Students will be creating digital projects, video presentations, etc. These skills will continue to benefit my learners in their post-secondary pursuits.
