I'm a veteran teacher. As such, I have the experience of knowing what is essential in helping our students receive qualifying scores on AP tests as presented by CollegeBoard. For many years, I've struggled with finding creative ways to get students to want to engage and and interact with this rigorous curriculum. The 2019-2020 school year was, I felt, my best year in doing so. The purpose of this item is to continue to innovate and push the envelope even further. The reason why such an item is needed is due to the amount of work I put in to creating such a curriculum which is very difficult to do from the small district provided chromebooks. Simply put, I need a desktop pc to do the amount of work necessary to keep this going. The district, over the past few years have removed desktop pcs from the classrooms and I was able to receive exemptions, but now my time has run out.
