My sports medicine students have a desire to learn using different forms of media and technology. As part of the program each of my students keeps an interactive notebook to facilitate learning. Included in the notebook are class notes, quizzes, tests and worksheets. The notebook enables the individual student to monitor learning and have a completed resource from each course within the sports medicine program. Your donation to this project will help build the bridge between that traditional interactive notebook and a new digital notebook. The unique situation we find ourselves in this year is going to make it extremely difficult for students to have a traditional interactive notebook. I would like to continue to have my students have the opportunity to build notebooks for each class. In the past students have continued to use their notebooks as they left high school and began college. The feedback has been positive and has reinforced the need for these notebooks. An integral part of the notebook are the worksheets the students complete. The worksheets give the students opportunities to practice the concepts they have learned in class. It also gives opportunities to label, draw and color anatomy worksheets. Learning anatomy is an important part of the curriculum. I have gathered and created physical worksheets for each class that will enrich the students’ learning experiences. Now it is necessary to put all of the worksheets into a digital form The scanner would allow me to do this quickly and with ease. As we transition to a digital notebook the scanner will be The Bridge to an Interactive Notebook.
