These STEAM materials will be divided into individual kits for my first graders. This will give them the opportunity to enjoy STEAM while maintaining social distancing. I firmly believe that children learn through play and discovery. We will use the kits along with our science curriculum. I will disinfect and rotate the kits weekly so all students learn from each of the materials. I also anticipate a lot of emotions when we return to school in the fall. I’m sure seeing their kits of STEAM materials will be a comfort and hopefully relieve some of their back-to-school nerves.
