Students need to stay active and healthy. Due to restrictions put in place due to COVID-19, I am not allowed to use any shared equipment. I would like each student in my school to have his or her own jump rope. With a simple jump rope, we will be able to stay active with a lot of different activities as well as use them for different academic goals. Students can use jump ropes to stay active at school and at home. They will be able to take the ropes home with them if we need to transition to distance learning again. Students will be able to use the jump ropes to jump traditionally. They will be able to place the rope on the ground to practice balancing, and endurance activities. They will also be able to create shapes and letters to help with other subjects as well.
