By having this rug in my life skills classroom, I am creating an atmosphere where my students can go to feel safe, loved, and adored. This will be in a safe space where my students can go to cool off, read, or work on social emotional feelings. Once we get back into the classroom, after this pandemic, my students will need a secure, safe place to go and express their emotions. This rug also symbolizes teaching love and understanding, as well as empathy, to our children when the world needs this the most.

About my class
