I will be using these materials to create "Word Work Boxes" for my kindergarten students. Each box will contain magnetic alphabet letters to build words, dry erasers to help with writing words, play dough to sculpt letters/words, and a set of "magic reading glasses". I am creating these boxes to help with our new guidelines of keeping our kindergartners socially distant in the classroom. They will receive a "Word Work Box" to keep in their desk to give them practice with learning about letters, letter sounds and reading words. Due to limiting the use of shared classroom materials through social distancing, having these individual boxes for each student will be an amazing way to keep my kindergarten cuties learning with hands-on reading activities.
