This new technology would allow my Kinders to access a digital library such as Vooks in a time when it is difficult to share and put our hands on actual books together. They can read/listen to the same books and be able to have small group or partner discussions. They can also use the app Seesaw to create digital learning portfolios and share the work they are most proud of with peers and family! Students create writing, illustrate math problems, record themselves reading and so much more with this one little app! With apps such as Lightbot, Osmo, and Kodable, Kinders can learn to code while they learn basic directionality. We are teaching them coding while teaching the standards! I am so excited to introduce my new class to all of these activities and more! I do have iPads in my classroom, but they are required to be used for our reading intervention iStation. So, I need the new iPads to take them beyond intervention and show them how exciting learning can be!
