Elementary students of all ages crave organization in home and class life. I cannot provide that in their home life, but I can in the classroom. I have an eclectic storage situation left by the previous art teacher that needs to be better organized to create a calmer environment with easier access to supplies. My students need better shelving for better organization which will lead to more focus on creative chaos! In order for me to provide stability and organization, I need one incredibly important thing that will help all my grades (Remember, I teach art to grades K-5). What I need is better storage to give my students more room to breathe in the classroom. I believe that this will be the basis of helping to create a better classroom environment for my students to focus on art making. This shelving will help reduce my students' restlessness and help me with distribution and and organization of art supplies. Meaning, it will create calmer and more easily enforceable classroom management which equals happier students.
