The typical school day will be unlike any other previously. The way I teach and the way students will learn will be very different considering the challenges now facing us with COVID-19. Students will no longer be able to move around the room and work with their friend at a table. To help combat the struggles students will have to work through, these wobble chairs will provide students with the opportunity to rock back and forth in order to focus. I want students to feel like they are playing an active part in their education, which can be achieved when making their own choices such as choosing where and what to sit in. Using these wobble chairs, students can choose to use them when they want to take it to a quiet place in the classroom to read, work on math or write. Typically students have the choice to sit on pillows and cushions for comfort but with COVID-19, these wobble chairs are better for cleaning and can provide an outlet for students who need to move during the school day. The wobble chairs will also benefit students with special needs such as students with ADHD. Students are able to move, get their needs met AND learn at the same time.
