I teach third grade English Language Arts. Students are required to complete a yearly book log of genres. I have collected a great number of books of multiple levels, but have no where to organize them for the students. My classroom last year had built in shelves, this years room does not. Having my students organize classroom library books on shelves would help them to find genres independently. They would be able to find books of interest and levels easily. It would also help students with organizational skills. They will be held responsible for checking out and returning books.
