The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go once generous people like you volunteer to help. Since we are returning to the classroom on August 3rd, I felt I should focus on helping my students feel safe and then I could worry about their mastery of content. The cleaning supplies will ensure a clean and orderly environment, and the tissue will help those with seasonal allergies that come every fall as they combine that with the hand sanitizer I have in place. The rest of the items will go towards day to day learning so that my students can have hands-on activities to facilitate a better understanding of the content of the course. Explanation for my list of items: toner and copy paper- We teach the course in nine weeks, so they need access to the material outside of the classroom to master it using case scenarios. pencil sharpener- the one I have had for 7 years broke, so we need a new one markers, trays, board erasers, and wipes- this gives students access while maintaining some distance as they learn using hands-on graphs and charts for economics 96 pack pencils- I will have this for any students in need along with the binders, notebooks, and paper I have already stocked up on desk calendar- I make one available every year to my students so they can add important dates for me to remember about them (games, birthdays, etc.)
