I plan to make lab packs for my students to pick up when they collect their books & Chromebooks at the onset of school. We are starting virtually and my students are taking AP Environmental Science. They need to do science, so I want to be able to send some materials home with them. As we meet on Zoom/Teams, we can discuss the labs that they are completing. Giving the students the materials - seeds, owl pellets, and soil test kits - that they cannot gather themselves, makes the class more equitable, and accessible. The students will be more motivated to do science, and this grant will help keep the science experience real---they will not have to depend on lectures and virtual labs for their learning.
