I teach eighth grade English/ Language Arts. My students are transitioning from Middle School to High School. They are making great gains in their cognitive skills and abilities, and they crave their independence. However, they are still very social in their peer interactions. These attributes can be harnessed in the right learning environment to create college and career ready people who can make valuable contributions to their world. My ELA classroom is that right learning environment. With your help, I can build a foundation to instill in them the skills they will need to succeed on the next level of their learning.
