I am looking to start a book club of sorts in my classroom this year, especially with the blended teaching model I/we will be engaging in. There will be some good opportunities for students to engage with literature outside of instruction and work time, and I want to give them a wide variety of genres and reading levels to choose from. As a first year teacher, I am starting from square one on this, but dream of having a vast library for my students to choose from. Through exposure to literature outside of what is in our curriculum, they will go onto high school with an even brighter perspective on reading, writing, and engaging with literature overall.

About my class
