I want to thank you in advance for looking at my Donors Choose project. Manchester Public Schools have been holding professional developments about equity for a year now, and I really want to take what I've learned and put that into my classroom. Unfortunately, even though I live in a town with several races and backgrounds, the classroom library doesn't reflect that. I am using Donors Choose as a resource to fill my classroom library with culturally diverse books so every child in my classroom feels represented. Though the children may not be able to look at the books or share them, myself and my paraprofessionals are excited to read the books to them and teach them how special everyone is in their own way!
