My project is to help my students can have a healthy snack each day and use the items for cooking on Fridays. By donating snacks you will help fuel the students be successful in their learning throughout the day. It is important to provide fun learning activities. Each week during math we have fun Friday learning where we use cooking to implement learning of the the metric system for measuring. The students need to write down the measurements in cups and milliliters and liters. They also learn about temperature and how it effects matter. While providing a healthy snack I am also teaching the students the importance of using math in daily activities. Every student is engaged and loves to be included in the activity because they get a great reward at the end.
