My students are starting the year with distance learning. I was their third grade teacher last year and am moving up with them to fourth grade this year. Last year we started the year reading "Third Grade Angels." My students will learn character development as we read about the struggles the book characters go through as they transition from Third Grade "Angels" to Fourth Grade "Rats." As we read together live over Zoom, my students will learn vocabulary development, setting/plot/character development, creative and critical thinking- but most of all they will learn about making good choices and what being a good friend in fourth grade is all about!
