As a theatre arts teacher, my classroom has always been a safe space to explore your creativity. One of the many things I have learned in our short amount of time being virtual is that the students still want to be creative they simply do not have the resources to do so at home. If I am given the opportunity, I would love to be able to record videos of the projects we would have accomplished at school. I hope to give each student a kit which would include all of the materials they would need to participate in activities such as: Puppetry, playwrighting, scenic painting, sewing skills, special effects make-up and more! The Camera will be used to record tutorial videos for the students. I will deliver the rest of the materials to them so they can paint, make paperbag puppets, journal and write plays, learn to hand sew, and learn about/ build banraku puppetry.
