Not everything in distance learning has to be digital. I want to put books in my kids' hands so they can find a comfy spot in their home and dive into some great stories. These titles I have chosen are great for teaching many California English Language Arts standards. The descriptive writing will help my scholars visualize characters, analyze their actions, and discuss their favorite parts of a story with their peers. I have chosen two titles that I remember reading in elementary school, two of my absolute favorites! Even though the school setting is extremely different from when I was in grade school, these titles still bring joy to many young readers.
