* NEARPOD MAKES STUDENT THINKING VISIBLE. The “draw it” feature allows students to “draw” what they know (AKA “show your work”). Students can also use the camera feature to snapshot and share any work they’ve completed on paper.
* NEARPOD ENCOURAGES RICH MATHEMATICAL DISCUSSIONS. Student work can be shared instantly and anonymously with everyone in class. When students analyze and discuss authentic work samples, they develop their ability to form coherent arguments, to reason, to be precise. It also builds community through much needed peer-to-peer interaction.
* NEARPOD MAXIMIZES INVALUABLE CLASS TIME. By assigning student-paced Nearpods that address prerequisite material ahead of time, I can spend far less class time “lecturing” and more time digging deeper into the mathematics. (This feature is only available with a Platinum membership).
