There are moments throughout our day where we have allotted reading time, and I thought it would be fun for my students to participate in a unique, fiction, chapter book read-outloud. These novels would offer an appealing fictional adventure, while teaching them actual, real-life Science content we learn in class. I would like to use these novels to introduce new units and content in our Science class. Listening to me read and engaging in conversation about the chapters afterward would also help their reading comprehension skills in the ELAR classroom.
