We will be creating our lab to enhance our cognitive, emotional, and social well-being. The students will learn how the brain works by looking and exploring models of the brain. They will use lab coats and other supplies so that they can be scientists at work. Learning about the parts of the brain and how they work together. Comparing the sheep brain and the human brain, seeing how they are alike and different. We will use fiction and non-fiction reading to explore their thinking and feelings about topics, relationships and experiences by reading books about social and emotional issues. We hope that our explorations will give us a better understanding of how we learn and how we can help ourselves be better learners.
