These books and library materials will help enhance the print-rich environment of my classroom. My classroom library is a place students enjoy coming to. They look forward to their "book shopping" day every week. I try to rotate the books I have out so there is always something new for them to explore. My goal is to stock my library with books that are not only on grade level but above it as well so my readers are challenged all year and do not become stagnant. In order to do this I will need to expand my library materials so the students have more choices. These materials will give my readers a chance to challenge themselves and encourage them to become the best reader they can be. I have also included the bins necessary to organize the library. An organized library allows the students to take ownership of their books because they can find their just right books on their own. The pillows and soft seats included will allow the students comfortable places to read, this will strengthen their love of reading as well. My goal is to have enough books in my classroom library to be able to send some home during distance learning. I work in a low income school where many students do not have access to appropriate level books at home. With more books in my library I will be able to send some home with them so they can continue to read and grow at home.
