As we start this year, there is a great possibility that we will continue to teach remotely. Children need to be able to see examples of literacy foundations, math problems, teacher writing, and drawing. When I am teaching in the classroom, I can use a document camera and projector to show large examples to my class. In order to transform my dining room into a kindergarten learning environment, I will need a large tabletop easel to write on and use magnetic letters and numbers. This way I can continue to look and act like a kindergarten teacher instead of trying to adjust the laptop camera to a paper or objects on the table. The tabletop magnetic easel allows me to project in a new way. I can use extra-large counters to show a math problem, use magnetic letters to sound and say words write, and write on chart paper about a topic or do a directed draw.
