My classroom is a converted computer lab therefore we have poles in our room that limits our desk/table arrangements. I'm aiming for total flexible seating in the next few years to encourage self discipline and ownership of their classroom. We currently have a rug and a few scoop rockers, yoga mats and clip-boards, 2 camping chairs and some wobble stools. By supporting us with standing desks, I will be able to implement another choice in their environment as well as social distance more easily. These standing desks allow for a totally different work area and will help my more wiggly students focus. We are a self-contained middle school classroom for all subjects so being comfortable in their environment is key to focus and engagement.
