During our half day preschool, we spend a lot of time exploring the world around us. Everything we do in preschool helps with learning how the world works. To help our exploration we are in need of fun manipulatives. These manipulatives are things like creature builders where students have to use their finger and hand muscles to create funny looking creatures by putting the balls and sockets together. As our year goes on we are in need of supplies to replenish what we have used and run out of during our school year. We use playdough to strengthen our fine motor skills by manipulating the dough into shapes and letters. We use art supplies to help us practice our letters and number by drawing special attention to their shape and formation. We also use our letter cards and books to explore our alphabet. The more exposure and ways to explore our alphabet the students will have a better understanding of out language and literacy. Preschool is fun with manipulatives!
