With everything going on in the world today, I want my future students to know that they are welcomed, respected, appreciated and valued. I have always believed that literature and books can leave a lasting impression. With the resources and books I chose, I will do read-alouds and have open discussions to promote inclusion. In doing so, different topics such as race, age, gender, ethnicity, and so forth will be at the forefront to help students understand that our differences should unite us, instead of pull us apart.
