With the start of this school year unknown, please help me meet the needs of all of my students in my classroom. Scholars across the country have been out of school for a long time. The beginning of the year will be unlike any we have seen before, and I want to make sure that my scholars have all the necessary supplies needed to thrive and succeed! In my classroom, I usually use flexible seating to allow my scholars room to move around and to provide them with a "home-like" feeling in our classroom--I still want to be able to do this, but in a new way! Scholars will be able to use the wiggle seats to move back and forth while doing their work. They can use the chair bands to push and kick while sitting at their desks--the tennis balls will be attached to the chair bands to help students with sensory needs. We will also use the seat cushions while social distancing for outside learning. We also will use our books to help us connect more to our community, to different cultures, and to learn lessons from folktales that we can share with our families and friends at home. The lanyards will be used to hold our school ID's while transitioning to and from lunch. They will also be used to help hold materials that we need in our classroom.
