The use of whiteboards is a daily activity in our classroom. We pull them out for quick spelling connections, grammar review, and most important, math. Most of my mini lessons are done at our carpet. I have the class close, my tools ready, and to make sure all students are on task, they have their white boards. Every student is participating, but better yet, I can see instantly who might be struggling with a concept, and need more help. I started using small student chalkboards years ago (very messy). When mini whiteboards became available I switched to using those. It takes a bit of training the students with procedures. The erasers, markers, and board take time to pass out (still a bit messy). Having these new LCD tablets would be an amazing way to continue to use these effective tools without the mess and distraction whiteboards cause. Donating to our class will definitely improve and enhance student participation, focus and achievement! Thank you for your consideration.
