There is no greater path to literacy and holistic, spiritual success then reading. We live in a world where reading is inherent in our every moment. From books to tweets to cereal boxes, we consume more words per day than calories. Words are our food. However, there are starving children out there. These kids are hungry for knowledge and success; yet, their socioeconomic status renders them starving. Let them eat, so they can become full with proficiency and achieve their dreams. Our school needs help to put books into the hands of our kids. If our students have books during Covid-19, I will be able to create reading incentives and goals so they can read every day and prepare for high school and ultimately be the first in their family to graduate.
