Nothing brings out the best of students like competition and challenges. All students want to succeed and do well but when you can turn learning into a game, students put forth much more effort. Games have helped me to communicate to students learning goals and I also use it as an opportunity to teach self control, manners work ethic and not to mention, good sportsmanship. So many positive things come from games in my classroom and most importantly, students learn essential skills that allow them to grow into intelligent, productive well rounded adults.
