Students learn best through the use of hands-on materials and manipulatives. Often times, we struggle to find the right objects for our students to use. Tiny hands with high interests make this search even harder. Now imagine being able to make your own manipulatives and materials! Through the use of a Cricut, my students can not only learn to create but can also utilize their creations in the classroom! For this first grade inclusive grade, students of all abilities will learn how to design and create their own manipulatives and projects. These students will be able to use their high interests to enhance their learning experience. By doing so, they will not only be playing, but their play will serve a higher purpose, one of engagement. Through the use of a Cricut, students will be using technology to design and their hands to make not only furthering their intellectual education but their fine motor skills as well. We look forward to your support in our project and cannot wait to increase our engagement as we make beautiful projects and manipulatives!
