I teach 1st grade! One skill I like to teach my students is how to stay organized. With a classroom full of 6 year olds, things can get messy quickly if you don't stay organized. With this pandemic we are currently facing, it is going to be more important than ever to make sure the students stay organized when in my classroom! The health and safety of my students is top priority. The students will not be able to share any supplies and must keep all their things in their desk. I believe that giving each child a seat pocket on the back of their chair is going to be my solution. The seat pockets on their chairs will help my students in many ways. The students will not get their supplies mixed up with another students. Their desks will not become over crowded. They will be able to quickly and easily find what they need. It will save my sanity. Organization skills need to be taught and practiced at an early age.
