In my classroom students sit at tables. Last year, supplies were kept in a caddy in the middle of their table. This year, I will not be able to use the caddy for supplies due to COVID-19. I want to use seat sacks for their supplies so each child's supplies will be kept separate to try to prevent the spread of germs/coronavirus. Students will value a well-organized place for their supplies and materials. The seat sacks will be on the back of their chair where they can easily access their belongings. The seat sacks will be used to store the following items: daily communication folders, OG writing folders, writing journals, highlighter, and dry erase board with marker. A zipper bag with crayons, scissors, and glue sticks will also be inside the sacks. This will allow the students to access materials they need quickly without having to get up, so this will help maintain social distance in the classroom. The seat sacks will also reduce the amount of time it takes to pass out supplies, collect them, and disinfect them. Therefore, it will increase instructional time.
