Our old tablets are outdated! They are no longer able to be updated or run many of the applications their district curriculum uses. This equipment helps students communicate, establish and run their own schedule, and learn in engaging ways. New learning applications and technology that are so critical for my students are more accessible with touchscreen technology. Please allow me to provide equal access for students who would otherwise have difficulties accessing technology with a mouse! Little people with developmental delays can really struggle using a mouse to navigate through menus and to drag information across the screen. Touch screen technology is a wonderful gift to the unique needs community.
