My students will be entering 3rd grade and they are still unable to read.
Albert Einstein stated, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” My students have had three academic years to learn how to read and they are not able to read. They work with me on words like hat, mat, and sat; but then when they see those same words on another page, they are not able to decode the words. They guess and 90% of the time, their guess is incorrect.
The David Morgan Education Program uses Guided Phonetic Reading. This reading program provides visual characters that represent each sound, while at the same time helping the child to learn letter/sound combinations. So that children are using their visual strengths without over-relying on them and sight-reading.
The program is available online. Parents will be able to access via their email address, log in and passwords. The program will not be shipped to the school, it is available digitally and based on individual student assessment/data.
