My student's safety is my main focus. Because we don't know what this next school year will look like, I want my students to be prepared to make art whether it is at home or safely in the classroom. Giving each student their own art kit will give them that flexibility. Each student will be supplied with their own art kit complete with materials such as pencils, erasers, colored pencils, oil pastels, watercolors, glue and more. Each kit will be stored in a box labeled with the student's name. If distance learning continues, students can take their kits home. If in school learning begins, students will have their own set of supplies that can stay in their classroom. This will cut down dramatically on the use of shared materials and the spread of germs. The materials in these kits have been specifically chosen to connect with the art curriculum. They are materials that can be reused over and over again for a wide range of projects.
