In this project, I am asking for help in funding items that will set my 2020-2021 fourth grade students up for success in school during the Pandemic. Going back to school during this time will be a transition for students and will look much different than what it did last March. It is my priority to keep my students as safe as possible, give them a sense of security with personal space for their belongings, and provide quality in-class lessons that still enhance the engagement they have while using technology and being able to collaborate with peers. I am asking for help in funding an Apple TV to allow students to connect their devices to our classroom screen and share/collaborate with work that they have created (while social distancing at their seats), milk crates to ensure they have a cubby for their materials at the base of their desks (to promote a sense of personal space for their belongings in a safe manner), and desk shields to help keep students separated, providing a feeling of safety and security as they learn throughout the school day. I am anxious to return to school and begin teaching my students again, but I want to ensure that we can accomplish many of our fourth-grade learning goals in a way that is safe for all during these unprecedented times. Back to school may look different, but the learning doesn't have to change and the love I have, as an educator, for my students and their success in the classroom, will always remain.
