Having STEM materials in my class will give me the opportunity to teach lessons that allow my students to focus on real-world issues and problems. STEM lessons are guided by the engineering design process that gives my students the opportunity to realize everyone can be a problem solver. STEM lessons immerse students in hands-on inquiry and open-ended exploration. The addition of the Osmo, LEGO and STEM kits will provide endless opportunities for enrichment. STEM learning is open-ended; at the same time, the students’ work is collaborative and solutions are student-generated. These lessons will involve students in productive teamwork.
