The books will provide a way to talk about how each student feels. Today, students experience a variety of unfortunate situations. Each book provides topics to discuss emotions within the classroom. This will help build and monitor a respectful classroom culture. The goal Is to encourage students to understand, model, and evaluate social-emotional needs. Allowing students to identify topics and feelings will promote a better environment for learning. The books will build positive relationships within the classroom. Moreover, the books will help model behaviors and empower each student with new strategies to cope with daily experiences. These rich discussions from the books will not only build resilience to finish 5th grade strong, but to finish life strong.
