Many of my students struggle to get the basic supplies they need for school. Over 90% of my campus is on free or reduced lunch, and many of them speak english as a second language. Even though they may struggle, my students have a willingness to work and want to learn. Many of them come in without confindence that they can even learn science and feel that science is "boring." I try to use hands-on and engaging activities to keep them involved. I love when they leave class saying "Now I get science!!"
