Many children (and adults) struggle with understanding math. They believe that they don't have the "math gene." However, I believe that there is no such thing and that all students can have success in math. Learning math should be a hands-on process. Students need these manipulatives to make math concrete, easy-to-understand, and fun. Furthermore, having these individual resources will help my students make connections and boost their self-esteem. By donating to our project, not only will you help my students achieve academically, but you will also assist them in building confidence within themselves.
