The two materials I have chosen for my classroom will create more efficient instruction. I chose a doc camera because I can record written examples on paper that can translate directly to students' notebooks. I can record my explanations to math problems as well as detailed steps. I may not plan to become the next YouTube star helping students, but would like to offer personal videos that are about assigned problems. I can also continue to use this document camera in the classroom to directly mirror my steps and procedures. I'm finding that teaching math from a PowerPoint isn't cutting it; my students need to see the steps written with pencil and paper.
