In my Kindergarten classroom, students sit at tables rather than desks. Individual seat sacks on the backs of chairs will provide each student with a personal space to store their supplies. The seat sacks will be used to store such things as pencils, crayons, folders, eraser, highlighters and dry erase markers. This will allow students to quickly access the materials they need throughout the day which will minimize classroom disruptions and allow for seamless transitions from one activity to another. This will also give students a sense of pride that they have their own supplies to take care of!
