My Students Each year I realize how special my students are and this year is no different. Most of my amazing students come from low-income families and lack the essential school supplies that are needed. They are hungry to learn and are excited to come to school. Since my students' families were greatly impacted by the pandemic, their participation in online learning last year was limited and inconsistent. As a result, some did not learn their basic alphabetical principles, letter name recognition and phonics skills. My Project The materials will help my students learn how to identify vowel sounds, blend and manipulate sounds to read words and develop a strong foundation in reading literacy. My students will work collaboratively and in small groups to strengthen their phonics skills and reading skills.
