It is the nature of music classes that students are on many different ability levels. Some students come to me with the ability to sight-read music, and others join my class with zero music experience. I often provide small group, tiered instruction to help all students succeed and extend their music ability and knowledge. Additionally, it is common for us to break out into sectionals, where each voicing part will go out together to learn a few lines of a song, then we come back to put the harmonies together. My music room is heavily reliant on audio and listening. Students often have cell phones, and by utilizing portable Bluetooth speakers, we can maximize the classroom space. The speakers will give us the ability to practice and learn together in small groups.
