Humans have historically been natural storytellers and listeners. We keep up with this tradition when our children are young, but as they reach their adolescence we no longer read to them and their listening skills often decline as a result. Help me make listening a skill of value within my classroom through the use of NPR's Listenwise App. By bringing the power of the spoken word to my 9th grade Literature students, I will be able to monitor and set improvement goals for each of them through the Listenwise application.
